Calist Andrew Mwatela is a Kenyan politician. He belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement and was elected to represent the Mwatate Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya since the Kenyan parliamentary election, 2007.[1]
Calist Andrew Mwatela was born in the 50s in Tungulu, Bura in Mwatate Constituency, Taita-Taveta District. He worked as a primary school teacher teaching in various schools including St. Marys School in Lavington Nairobi. He left teaching and joined active politics in the Democratic Party then led by current Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki. He is married to Jacinta Mwatela with whom he has 5 children.
